Bluebella Lingerie Sparks Pubic Hair Debate with Mature Lingerie Model Shoot

Bluebella Lingerie is "[a]n East London-based lingerie & nightwear brand on a mission to redefine sensuality." It is receiving praise and criticism for a recent post on its Instagram page, on February 1, 2024, featuring mature model Amanda Bransgrove, 57, from New Zealand, posting "When in doubt, try both on. Indulging in her sensuality, @amandabransgrove wears our popular Matisse and Marian sets." It features Amanda in see-through lingerie, nipples, pubic hair and all. Some loved the natural and inclusive shots. One user wrote, "She's SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for having a model like her, we need more diversity and representation in our society." Another agreed, saying, "She looks INCREDIBLE. I wanna be like her when I grow up up!" And yet a third said, "Thank you for more grown models especially in the lingerie business!"

But not everyone appreciated the pubic hair. One person commented, "I didn't think nips & pubes were allowed to show on Insta?!" A second said, "Very good body, but to shave off would be nice." And that of course began a pubic hair debate, one person writing: "It is shocking to me how so many people are still so surprised that grown women have pubic hair. Can we please stop infantilising women as if they’re supposed to have hairless bodies like a toddler? Grow up." Another said, "Why focusing about hair?? If you want your thing looking like a chicken breast, shave your thing and leave people live their life!"
